Good morning everyone!
Now, usually blogs have a bunch of yappidy yappers talking about their life story to introduce the recipe.. I'll save you the hassle. My life story is.. I love cooking! I have made some other blogs about cooking easy meals for teenagers.. adults... and even college students! Now, the only thing I am missing is the itty bitty little ones. This goes out to all the guardians and caretakers of toddlers and preschoolers, hopefully I can make your day brighter! Each blog post I will make will have a recipe, and some info below that! These recipes are going to be DELICIOUS to your kids. Healthy too! They gotta grow big and strong of course!
First, I'll give you a little bit of background info in case you don't know.
A well balanced meal consists of fruits, vegetables, grains, proteins and dairy. The amount of each food varies with your age! You would not give your child a whole chicken sandwich like you might want yourself. Toddlers and Preschoolers are ages 1-5. Of course these age groups are very different at times, but they have some of the same eating habits.
Feeding new foods to your child may be frustrating. But remember, it takes 8-12 tries for your child to be used to a new food. Give them something new when everyone else is trying it, kids love to eat what your eating, so be a role model to eat healthily!
2 - 4 ounces of protein
1 - 1 ½ cup of vegetables
2 - 2 ½ cups of dairy
3 - 5 ounces of grains
